SRX1890847: RNA-Seq of Phaseolus vulgaris: Perola root after 150 min of stress
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina Genome Analyzer IIx) run: 14.3M spots, 2G bases, 1.2Gb downloads

Design: Fresh tissue was sampled from 15 days seedlings. The total RNA were extracted using a commercial PureLink RNA Mini Kit. The RNA-Seq library was prepared using Illumina TruSeq RNA kit and paired-end sequenced using Illumina Genome Analyzer IIx. CASAVA 1.8.2 was used to generate the FASTQ files and trimmomatic was used for quality control.

Study: Phaseolus vulgaris Transcriptome in drought conditions
show Abstracthide Abstract
This experiment comprises RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) of two genotypes of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.), BAT 477 and Pérola, that have contrasting performance under drought stress. Both genotypes have Mesoamerican origin and were grown in a controlled environment (hydroponics system) for growth and induction of drought stress. The main objective of this project was to characterize the gene expression profiles of the described genotypes in response to drought stress conditions. Sequencing was performed on the platform Illumina Genome Analyzer IIx, paired-end reads with 100pb. The data were previously treated for quality assurance of the deposited reads.
